At Hunting for the Lost, our mission is to equip and empower the local church with proven evangelism and discipleship strategies they can adopt or adapt to fulfill the Great Commission in their community.
Matthew 28:18-20, "And Jesus came and said to them, 'All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
Our focus is the Father's Heart: The reconciliation between God and man through a personal relationship with Him as Savior, Lord, Father, and Friend.
John 6:40 declares "For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life." Our Father's Heart is that none should perish, but all would be saved. God desires mankind to be reconciled to Him. Jesus entrusted the Church with this mission when He gave us the Great Commission.
We believe that the harvest is plentiful, but we also know that the laborers are few. Our primary strategy to overcome this labor shortage is to do what Jesus commanded: Pray. Then we obey His other commands in expectant faith, knowing that God will raise up laborers by following Paul's example in 2 Timothy 2:2, "and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust to faithful men who will be able to teach others also."
We believe by raising up new laborers who are empowered by the Holy Spirit, equipped with the Word of God, and trusted to make disciples of Jesus Christ, the Church will accomplish the Great Commission and fulfill the Father's Heart!
